The Astronomy & Astrophysics department at UC San Diego thrives within its own vibrant community dedicated to inclusive and meaningful education and cutting-edge research. The hub of this community is  located in the Science Engineering Research Facility (SERF) building at the heart of the UC San Diego campus. Researchers and students collaborate to explore outstanding astrophysical questions, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a postive academic environment.
